Vimukti’s mission is to not only provide education to the underprivileged girls but also help them gain dignified employment.
In the past also, Vimukti has conducted training programmes as tailoring, computer basics, paper craft including paper mache, candle & diya making, card making.
It is aimed at helping girls pursue vocational training directed at obtaining gainful employment or coaching to prepare them for entrance exams for higher studies, after completing class XII. for deserving girls to pursue vocational training directed at obtaining gainful employment or coaching to prepare them for entrance exams for higher studies, after completing class XII.

In 2016, based on the performance and feedback, the programme was split into two parts with IEFchoosing to support weekly career counselling sessions at VGS and financing vocational training courses. This is now called Vimukti Skilling Initiative. Edugirls is now supporting college education under the head Vimukti Post School Support Programme. Under the Post School Support Programme, 10 girls are being financially supported to pursue college education. Regular follow-up is done with the girls to ensure that they attend college regularly and also to identify any problems they might be facing.
